Microsoft Data Security & Governance
We help organisations discover, secure and govern their data across Microsoft 365, Azure and Fabric, implementing Microsoft Purview for data security and governance, Microsoft Defender XDR for threat protection, and hardening and monitoring of your cloud environment.
We assess your current security and governance posture, configure Microsoft Purview, Defender XDR and your cloud environment to close the gaps, and set up monitoring so protection keeps pace as your estate grows.

Why data security and governance come first
Every data, reporting and AI initiative depends on knowing what data you hold, where it lives, who can access it and how it’s protected. As Copilot and AI agents make information easier to find, gaps in classification, permissions and threat protection quickly become business risks, and compliance issues under the GDPR.
We cover the Microsoft security stack: Microsoft Purview to classify, label and govern data and prevent data loss; Microsoft Defender XDR to detect, prevent and respond to threats across identities, endpoints, email and cloud apps; and security hardening of Azure and Microsoft 365 against best practice (Microsoft Entra to control access and manage identities, Microsoft Sentinel for cloud-native security information and event management), with ongoing monitoring.
Your data, finally in order
One governed copy of your data, so reporting, analytics and AI all work from the same numbers. No more arguing over whose spreadsheet is right.

Frequently asked questions about data security and governance
Microsoft Purview is Microsoft’s family of data security, governance and compliance solutions. It covers data classification and sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP), insider risk management, retention and lifecycle management, eDiscovery and audit, plus data governance with the Purview Unified Catalog across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Fabric and other sources.
Copilot respects your existing permissions and sensitivity labels, so it can surface anything a user already has access to. Purview helps you find overshared content, apply labels and DLP policies so sensitive information isn’t exposed in Copilot responses, and gives visibility of how AI is being used across the organisation.
Microsoft Defender XDR is Microsoft’s extended detection and response suite. It correlates signals from endpoints, identities, email and collaboration tools and cloud apps into unified incidents, with automated investigation and response, so security teams can see and stop an attack across the whole environment from a single view.
Not necessarily. Many advanced Purview and Defender capabilities are included in Microsoft 365 E5 or its security and compliance add-ons, while E3 and Business Premium include a smaller set. We review your current licensing first, so you make full use of what you already pay for before considering any upgrade.
Security hardening means reviewing and tightening how your tenant is configured: identity and multi-factor authentication, conditional access in Microsoft Entra ID, admin roles, external sharing, email security, device policies and logging. Progress is measured against best practice and tools such as Microsoft Secure Score.
The GDPR requires you to know what personal data you hold, keep it secure, retain it no longer than necessary and respond to requests such as subject access requests. Microsoft Purview helps you discover and classify personal data, apply retention policies, prevent unauthorised sharing and search content efficiently. Tools support compliance. They don’t replace the right policies and processes, which we help you put in place.
Security should be monitored continuously, with a formal review at least once a year and after any major change, such as moving new workloads to Azure, an acquisition or rolling out Copilot. Configurations drift over time, so regular checks keep your protection aligned with how the business uses Microsoft 365 and Azure.
