One view of the business from ten systems
Discover how Mokate Group has leveraged these innovative technologies to increase efficiency, optimise operations and achieve new levels of collaboration, taking full advantage of the potential of digital transformation in manufacturing.
MOKATE is a leading manufacturer and exporter of food products, including coffee, chocolate drinks, pastries and tea. It is also an important supplier of food ingredients in the B2B market. The company, founded in the early 1990s, now brings together nine independent entities in the MOKATE Group. It has more than 1,700 employees and supplies products to more than 70 countries around the world, with a growing number of customers in all major markets.
Excel-based reports, email, ten source systems
The challenge
Consistent reporting, accountable data and one central place for files and communication. Three goals set the direction for Mokate’s digital transformation.
Advanced analytics and effective reporting as a catalyst for Mokate’s dynamic growth
On our way to digital transformation, we have embraced the following goals:
- Implementing effective reporting. The organisation sought to implement an effective reporting system to ensure efficient distribution of data using consistent methods.
- Strengthening data culture. The next step in the transformation was to develop a data culture and strengthen accountability for data accuracy. This was to improve the quality of data in the source systems and integrate them.
- Data centralisation. The Mokate Group also sought to centralise shared files and information, as well as implement modern communication tools within the organisation.
Our approach
Data centralised on a scalable Azure platform, self-service Product 360 and Customer 360 dashboards in Power BI, and Microsoft Teams in place of email.
Modern analytics platform on Azure
The deployment centralises data, enabling faster decision-making and access to data-driven information. With a cloud-based approach, the platform is scalable and ready for advanced analysis.
Product 360 and Customer 360 dashboards in Power BI
Improved sales processes with self-service features have taken reporting to a whole new level.
Integration with Microsoft Teams
The most important factor in the success of the project’s implementation, which reduced reliance on email and improved real-time collaboration.

Results
Organisation after transformation
The implementation of Azure Data Stack, Power BI and Microsoft 365 has brought significant benefits to the Mokate Group.
The implementation of Azure Data Stack and Power BI has transformed the company’s data reporting and analysis, providing a holistic view of the state of its business operations. Near real-time reporting allowed for faster decision-making, and the company no longer relied on Excel-based reports. The flexibility of the system allowed individuals to make changes and respond to changing results. Integrating data from ten different systems has resulted in consistent reporting and better decision-making.
In addition, the integration of external data has helped compare products with market trends, competitors and price benchmarks for intermediate products or resources. Based on several discussions with top management, the organisation has changed its approach to working with data and the way teams communicate.
Summary
Integrating data from ten different systems has resulted in consistent reporting and better decision-making.
Mokate Group now works from one, near real-time view of its business, with its teams collaborating in Microsoft Teams instead of email.
